Jinxs Arrival and Cards all aroind Us

Well every year are Jinx are Elf arrives with his duty in hand. He reports back daily to Santa on the goings on of the kids and helps check Santa's  list. I love watching the kids faces every morning as they run from room to room to see if they can spot him. He is a wonderful little guy and quit helpful when I need him to be...My #DecDaily Page will be posted in a few days so keep an eye out for it.

This morning also brought me some much needed quite time to work on some Christmas Cards... I have found some wonderful season stamps from Stampendous - With these cards I used their Cling Santa Trio and a little Snowtex for dimension.

Giving Thanks

We all spend time reflecting on our families and lifes during this time of year. I am thankful for so much and try to take time everyday to thank God for what he has given us and not dwell on the negative of things. I am thankful for where I have come from and where I am going in my my life. god has great things instore for me  and mine.

I also am preparing for the busy month in front of us all. I have decided to start with keep up with the days events with Ali Edwards Dec Daily. What a great idea to keep up with the little things and the great big things we accomplish during the month.. Follow along as I do this wonderful journal. I will post as often as I can but please be patient with me....

Another crazy week at hand....

Here I am typing when I should be creating or cleaning. I am vowing myself to do a little more for me. I just cant start yet..Emilie and Alex both have parties this weekend and I am prepping for those. Emilie is having a sleepover and Alex a bowling party. By Sunday I will be so dog tired I will not know what to do. Emilie is having a crown birthday cake that I am designing, baking and creating. Alex I am not sure because he is a boy and about to be 11 and I don't want to embarrass him. I am looking to get on to a design team if possible just not sure when I am to fit that into the schedule. I also have a few sewing projects going for Christmas. I am going to need a vacation after the holidays for sure. I am hoping to be planning my wedding though.... Still waiting but its not all his fault...

Busy Month

Its been a very busy month... School carnival, kindergarten performance, Veterans Day Chorus, Halloween, made our costumes and Frankenstein containers for Connors class and we squeezed in a camping trip with family.....Now preparing for 7 birthdays in November, 2 BDay Parties and Thanksgiving. Just exhausted thinking about it all.

Wanted to share the Frankenstein Containers with you... Here they are..Loved making them now going to try and make them with a Christmas theme.

So....

I am contemplating a missions trip to Peru in the summer 2011... What am I thinking?? I don't fly well, I don't know more than 10 Spanish words and the what ifs keep playing in my mind. If I manage to raise enough money that will only be half of it. The other half will be actually the flying. Its a little over 3000 miles to Lima but the 16 hours in flight is what keeps nagging at me. I know I can take something to help me out but the storeis that our pastor Chip Wheeler told us about the plane going sideways has me questioning it. But who am I to question destiny and what God may have in store for me and my family. I have alot of praying to do concerning this trip.

Does anyone ever take the time anymore to think about the presentation of something? Sitting here wrapping birthday presents I got to thinking about it. I can remember my Dad spending hours wrapping gifts for my Mom at Christmas time. He did occasionally let the ladies at JB White wrap her Estae Lauder gifts. I think as Americans we loose touch in the simple things that use to me so much. Just my thoughts. . . .

All right....

Ok A little tweaking and such I am happy again. I am working on so many projects at once...LOL.. I have been thinking about what I said about finding myself. I think now is the time to do that. Not sure where to start...

Things

Why do we always let things in our lives get in the way of little life's pleasures. I love to cook, bake and could spend hours just scrapping the kids memories. But as mothers we begin to loose ourselves in our childrens lives. Once they have left home if forever or for just awhile why does it take us forever to pick ourselves up and move on. I know from recent experience and need to take my own advice but it is hard.....We shall see what the upcoming days have in store for me.

Mornings...

I get up at 5:45 Monday thru Friday just trying to get a head start on the kids...Maybe to make muffins or something to entice them out of the bed..LOL..Lately the morning seem to be getting crazier and I feast on leftover goldfish, fruit loop necklaces and have drank capri sun while running everyone to school. I am vowing to make my mornings easier and less stressful even if I have to start getting up at 5...Maybe I should and take a long walk...We shall see

Things....

Why do things always get in the way..I am in the process of packing...Yes packing yet again but it will be good. I am being stubborn about my scrapbooking items..LOL..I am going to be trying out for a DT again..Been along time since I did that but with this move I can concentrate on scrapbooking so I have all the time to devote to it..Wish me luck...

Here we are...

Ok So its Sunday and the kids laughter has returned to the house..Now for me to get serious about a few things this year. I want to loose more weight and actually get in shape. I also would like to make a design team and spend more time scrapbooking as it seems to have fallen to the side...Not intentionally either...So off to get a few photos uploaded and get to work..
